I am not too much into Destiel but…
Even a person who does not ship Destiel has to realize that they belong together.
Sure, none destiel shipers will often-if not always- antagonize this ideals but why?
I do respect their opinions BUT they keep a closed-up mind. I’ve heard from “it’s weird” up to homophobic responses. But if we can all just set aside all those things that are different and look at what is the same.
There is only one difference, gender.
But the fundamental part that makes love a profound bond is all there.
As I mentioned in my post about final Fantay 13-2’s Noel and Serah “As a writer I opine that it is best to let characters take their own flight, give them wings and let their course take chance. That natural flow of letting things happen is what best develops a character and his/her relationships.”
The same can be applied to Castiel and Dean. This bond was not pre-set, it was not forced on, it just happened. I opine writers and viewers should understand that things that happen naturally with the characters are the best development.
There is so much conflict to this two, but if seen with an open this two belong together. They sacrifice so much for each other.
Cannon or not you know it’s there.
And again I point out this is coming from someone who is analyzing outside of Destiel fandom, so that all of you none shippers can see, true love does not need to be a thing of physic nor a thing of gender, and that even a person who is not so into the Destiel fandom can see and undertand, ALL Destelians are right.
And I do quote Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Act 1, Scene 2
"The course of true love never did run smooth"
